In addition, Silver Spring’s best place for kids, families and singles will be selected along with the best entertainment and leisure activities. “Silver Spring has undergone an ‘extreme makeover’ since I started my website in 2000,” said Francene Hill, SilverSpringCenter.com’s CEO and founder. “We wanted to involve the whole community in deciding where to find the best parts of Silver Spring.”

SilverSpringCenter.com, which receives over 180,000 hits per month, also wants to reveal Silver Spring’s best kept secret, best landmark and best logo. “We receive a lot of requests for Silver Spring souvenirs,” Hill continued, “our survey will help pick the best logo or landmark to represent Silver Spring.” SilverSpringCenter.com hopes to have Silver Spring merchandise available in September 2005 when they announce the Best of Silver Spring winners.
