3g apple iphone

Steve Jobs confirms iPhone launch at yesterday’s Worldwide Developer Conference 2008 Keynote Live Coverage.

3G Apple iPhone has great battery life. 300 hours of standby, 2G talk-time now has 10 hours (as opposed to 5), 5 hours of 3G talk-time (most phones only have 3 hour 3G talk time), 5 to 6 hours of high-speed browsing, 7 hours of video, 24 hours of audio.

Will feature GPS and built in enterprise support. The iPhone 3G will be available July 11th in 22 countries. The maximum price around the world is $199 USD. $299 for the 16GB — a white version of this size will be available too. Apple has learned so much with the first iPhone. They have taken everything they’ve learned and more and created the iPhone 3G. Even thinner, black plastic back, solid metal buttons, same gorgeous display, camera, flush headphone jack, and dramatically improved audio.

Waiting for the 3.5G Apple iPhone

Waiting for the 3.5G Apple iPhone

The Apple iPhone. Its hip and its cool. Even people outside USA will die for it. A few of my friends in Malaysia have it and it was only working on the DIGI network last year. Not sure if it works on the Celcom and Maxis networks this year. I don’t care really. I’m still into my old iPod nano 1GB and new 32GB iPod touch. I’m not gonna pass down my Nokia N95 yet. Robert Scoble says the new 3.5G iPhone may not ship this month even tho it may come out at WWDC next week. Anyway, I won’t hold my breath and if the iPhone really comes out, I will just head out to Singapore since they have the licence from Apple to sell it there and grab one. Then I will show it off to those having the old iPhones. I just love tech. Your gadgets become dinosaurs after a year.

I’m also hearing that the new processor (that’s not ready yet, my source says) they are working on is a four-core design ARM (my source says it’s an ARM 11) that Apple has designed — the first processor in the original iPhone was a three-core ARM (my source says it was an ARM 7, but Wikipedia says it’s an ARM 11) that was integrated into a chip designed by Samsung.
