I’ve been to Upper Peirce Reservoir Park many times with my own kaki (friends). Let me share why this slow walk for seniors is one of our top choices for a relaxing morning or late afternoon out.

    ## Why This Park is Perfect for Us

    The main draw here is the excellent平缓度 (flatness). The paths are wide, paved, and have almost no slopes. This makes it very safe for our knees and joints. You won’t find any steep hills here. The park is also smaller and quieter than others, so it feels more private and calm.

    ## Exactly How to Get There (MRT & Bus)

    This park is not next to an MRT, but the journey is simple. The nearest MRT station is Marymount (Circle Line). From Exit A, you walk to the bus stop at Marymount Road.

    Take Bus 163 or 410W. Ask the driver or look for the stop called “Bef Old Upper Thomson Rd”. From there, it’s a short, pleasant 10-15 minute walk along Old Upper Thomson Road into the park. You’ll see the reservoir appear on your left.

    ## The Best Slow Walk Route & Rest Points

    Start at the carpark. Walk straight towards the iconic quarry stone wall and the waterside. The path here is the best for slow walking. You can go all the way to the end where the view opens up. The whole walk can be as short as 30 minutes return, or you can take your time.

    There are plenty of rest pavilions and benches along the way. The best rest point is at the far end. It has shelter and the most stunning view of the reservoir and forest. Perfect for drinking water and enjoying the breeze.

    ## Must-Know Tips Before You Go (避坑贴士)

    Our Singapore weather is the main thing to plan for. Go before 10am or after 4pm to avoid the strongest sun. There is very little shade on the main path, so a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are a must.

    Bring your own water bottle. There are no shops or vending machines in the park. There is only one toilet block near the carpark, so use it before you start your walk.

    ## What to Pack & Where to Eat After

    Your outing配套 (supplies) should include: water, a small towel, sun protection, and a portable fan. Wear good walking shoes. After your walk, head back towards Thomson Plaza or the nearby hawker centres for a well-deserved meal and a cold drink.
