LRT, KTM, Monorail and ERL Map in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia
Light rail or light rail transit (LRT) is a form of urban rail public transportation that generally has a lower capacity and lower speed than heavy rail and metro systems. The term is used to refer to modern streetcar/tram systems with rapid transit-style features that usually use electric rail cars operating mostly in private rights-of-way separated from other traffic but sometimes, if necessary, mixed with other traffic in city streets.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) or Malayan Railways Limited is the main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia.
KTM Komuter is an electrified commuter train service first introduced in 1995, catering especially to commuters in Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding suburban areas. KTMB provides 248 commuter services daily, serving 45 stations along 175 route-kilometres. The network consists of three lines: Rawang-Seremban Route, Sentul-Port Klang Route and the Rawang-Kuala Kubu Bharu shuttle route. Trains on the two lines run at 15 minutes frequency during peak hours and 20 minutes frequency during off-peak hours. The Rawang-Kuala Kubu Bharu shuttle services operates at half hour frequency. Komuter coaches are currently the most modern in the KTM fleet and are air-conditioned.
KTM Komuter is a heavily utilised mode of transportation by commuters working in Kuala Lumpur as the service is an alternative for road travel, which is occasionally hampered by congestion. Virtually all KTM Komuter stop offer “Park & Ride” parking lots for those who drive to and from the station or halt. KTM Komuter ridership is estimated to be about 34.97 million passengers in 2006.
KTM Komuter is currently the most profitable passenger service offered by KTMB, contributing RM84.63 million to group revenue in 2006, higher than KTM Intercity’s profit of RM70.94 million in the same year.
Monorail is a transportation system based on a single beam. The term is also used variously to describe the beam of the system, or the vehicles travelling on such a beam or track. The term originates from the contraction of the words mono (single) and rail, from as early as 1897, as early systems used metal rails. The transportation system is often referred to as a railway.

7 Star Hotel Kota at Damansara Malaysia
I’ve heard of 4 star, 5 star or even 6 star boutique hotels, but 7? Well don’t let the number 7 at 7 Star Hotel Kota at Damansara Malaysia fool you. Its not a super luxurious boutique hotel with gold plated toilet bowls but its just a simple and clean budget hotel for the masses.
7 Star Hotel Kota Damansara Malaysia – 7 Star Hotel is a catchy, niche, boutique hotel located in Kota Damansara. Front appearance, nothing much to shout about and can even be said hard to spot as the neighbouring shoplots basically overshadow it with their large signboards. Rather hard to spot from a distance IMHO. But once inside, the hotel is tastefully decorated and designed. Front desk is located on the 2nd Floor, which is rather awkward, but isn’t really a problem and the airy 20 feet ceiling (i think so) immediately compensates it. Rooms are above average and certainly value for money for walk-in customers. But if reservation can be done in advance, then maybe it would be wiser to walk into Tune Hotel, which is just across the street and also bigger in presence. Haven’t tried Tune Hotels but if it does follow the general standards that other Tune Hotels do carry, then reservation in advance shall go to Tune Hotels, hands down.
