Sony Xperia S has anti-stain and fast charging features
We are all awaiting the launch of Sony Xperia S here in Malaysia (its on my 2012 sexy list) but here’s some news on its cool hidden features.
The Sony Xperia S will have firstly, an anti-stain casing that will help keep those pesky dirty fingerprints from showing up and even pen marks from making a mess. How’s that for coolness?
Secondly, the Xperia S will have a fast charging mode without the need for any built in app, where it will gain 1 hour of talk time after a single 10 minute charge and that is useful if you have an important telco coming up.
The Sony Xperia S other features:
4.3-inch 720p display.
laminated Reality Display
1.5GHz dual-core processor
12-megapixel Exmor R camera sensor,
NFC support,
PlayStation certification.
So let’s all hibernate till the sexy SONY Xperia S shows up on our laps, zzzz….
BELOW, the back of the Sony Xperia S:

First, it seems the Xperia S will feature a an anti-stain shell. While this will help repel dirt and oil and keep the device looking new, those that have seen it in action have described a demonstration where a rep drew on the device with a pen, and was able to wipe off the marking with a single finger swipe. Neat.
Second — and this one is a whole lot more useful — the Sony Xperia S will come with a “fast charging” ability that gives the device 1 hour of talk time with a single 10 minute charge. 30 minutes is all it will take to charge up the Xperia S to 80%, at which point the device will lower power intake, slowly charging until 100% (for battery health).

Color Flashlight Android App
The Color Flashlight (its Colour Flashlight in the UK) Android App is a pretty useful app in dark places.
* LIGHT WHEN YOU NEED IT: WHERE YOU NEED IT
Stuck outside with no street light? Color Flashlight helps you out in the darkest of occasions. Use Color Flashlight to find the perfect seat in a dark theatre or find your way around when the power goes out at home.
* COLOR YOUR LIGHT
Change the color and brightness of your phone’s screen to help guide you where you want to go. Choose from a full range of colors to find your favorite custom-made light. Make fun flashlight effects by tapping on the menu button and choosing effect, color, and brightness.
* COOL CUSTOM EFFECTS
Have your phone’s screen simulate police light, candlelight, a rainbow, a disco ball, and more. You can even use Color Flashlight to display your own personal message by typing in text, or host your own personal dance party with the built-in strobe light.
Colour flashlight is a really cool app that gives another reason for switching to a smartphone.
Rumour says iPhone 5 going for June or July 2012 launch
Here’s a rumour that says the iPhone 5 might be launched around June/July this year and it comes straight from a Foxconn mole. There is no direct evidence for this and since iPad 3 will be out around March 2012, September would be a better month to release it as its about 6 months away from the early iPad 3 launch. On the side note, congrats to Apple for having a great Q4 2011 profit of USD 13 billion. That’s a lot of money.

Checking out Apple’s secret packaging rules
Currently I own an iPad and I really love how they package their gadgets. I guess a lot of thought goes into how their products are packaged. Read all about this intriguing news on Apple’s secret packaging process here:
Now it’s no secret that Apple sweats every last detail when it comes to their products – which if anything, is actually an understatement. Indeed, Apple’s VP of iOS software, Scott Forstall, once explained the extent to which Apple leaves no stone unturned. Speaking to the design of the iOS interface, Forstall said, “I actually have a photographer’s loupe that I use to make sure every pixel is right. We will argue over literally a single pixel.”
Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500 – rooting and unrooting guide

My Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500 is presently rooted and its only using Froyo (Android 2.2). The bad news is that Samsung will no longer support this model and we won’t be seeing a new Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 (ICS) version from them. However, if you are someone who is willing to hack your phone, then fret not, as there is some good guides that I found to upgrade your stock ROM to the ClockWorkmod ROM that might have an upcoming ICS version soon.
