San Francisco FiberWAN network system is under my control
By Colbert | July 18, 2008
A system admin is wreaking havoc in San Francisco.
Terry Childs, 43, pleaded not guilty in San Francisco Superior Court, after being arrested on July 13 for computer tampering. He will remain in police custody on $5 million bail, while his next bail hearing is scheduled for July 23.
Child is accused of changing the administrative passwords of San Francisco’s FiberWAN network system, which makes accessing the system impossible now without the passwords only he knows. Furthermore, his motifs for doing it still remain unknown, but suspicions are his actions may have been triggered by a conflict with a superior.

Apple sells one million new 3G iPhones over weekend
By Colbert | July 15, 2008
Great job, Steve Jobs. Apple has sold one million new iPhones over weekend and it would seem that the server problem on Friday did not hamper the spirit of people who want a piece of this new gadget. Its crazy. People camping out in the cold just to be the first. I heard some people in Hong Kong camped for 3 days. Hahaha. Imagine the toilet problem. Well, I won’t be getting one soon until they fix the copy/paste problem. I love my Nokia N95.
The original iPhone, introduced in late June 2007 in the United States only, sold about 270,000 units in its first two days. Sales topped one million by early September. The new device is sold in 21 countries.
“IPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend,” Apple’s chief executive, Steven P. Jobs, said in a statement.
Steven Hodges, president for the Northeast region for AT&T, Apple’s only carrier in the United States, would not disclose how many iPhones it had sold, but he said the iPhone would be AT&T’s key device for the holiday shopping season this year.
Still, iPhone sales pale compared with those of established mobile phone makers, like Nokia, which sells almost 10 million phones a week, or the Samsung Electronics Company or LG Electronics, which each ship more than 100 million a year.

Nintendo unveils Wii MotionPlus at E3 2008
By Colbert | July 15, 2008
Nintendo on Monday introduced an accessory that improves the motion sensitivity of the Wii video game controller. MotionPlus works in combination with the built-in accelerometer in the Wii remote and the sensor bar within the video game console to deliver more comprehensive tracking of the player’s movements. As a result, the accessory, which attaches to the end of the remote, provides a one-to-one response of a player’s movements and the video game.

I will be keeping an eye out on the upcoming Engadget & Joystiq live from Nintendo’s E3 2008 keynote. I wanna see what Nintendo is going to dish out this year for us Wii fans.
The always-popular Electronic Entertainment Expo has returned to its roots this year, with the annual game show moving back to the Los Angeles Convention Center after a solo season on the sunny beaches of Santa Monica. Kicking off on July 14 and running through July 17, E3 2008 showcases several of the year’s biggest software titles from the industry’s biggest publishers. In addition, special tie-in events like Gamecock’s BE-3 Initiative and Activision’s offsite press conference will spotlight new software as well.

The octopuses are running loose throughout the website and only stay on a product page for as long as it is in stock. Some products are restocked regularly so octopuses come back every so often while others have limited availability so the octopuses never return once they are caught.
To avoid disappointment, get your baskets and water tanks ready and catch them as quickly as you can spot them to avoid disappointment. This octopus catching season is only going to last for a couple of days, start catching now and save plenty of cash in the process.
