A $1B company is looking for a strong, technical leader to head the Product Development/ Engineering divisions of this high-tech B2B company. This individual will come from a large ($600M+) company that produces high-tech electro-mechanical PRODUCT, not solely components, software or services, for the B2B community – candidates coming from a consumer product background, software, technical services or other services background will not be a match. Candidates should come from a high-tech product background. This is not an IT position.

Specific responsibilities include directing the development and activities of key engineering/product development and other technical resources through coaching, training and project management. The VP will also evaluate the skills of key technology resources and upgrade or augment as necessary.

This company is located in the north Seattle area and the location provides a high quality of life. In addition, the company has been in business for many years and is stable and growing.

The VP must posses the following attributes/skills/background:

1. Be a strong technical leader – advanced degree required, like MS EE or MS CS; have a dynamic personality and be a change agent.

2. Be a seasoned manager, with 10-15 years in technology, having at least 5 years experience and have managed a technical staff of at least 250+ employees;

3. Possess demonstrated experience in electro-mechanical Product Development and in quickly getting high-tech products to market through the Product Development process and be able to thrive in a challenging, results-oriented, fast-paced environment – able to drive product to market quickly.

4. Have held a top Engineering role at their company.

This outstanding company offers a base salary of $220k-$250K + 50% bonus + stock options, an excellent relocation package and full benefits.
