Arie Kraai Joins Digital Camera Latest Blog at Syntagma Media

My friend Arie Kraai has joined the Digital Camera Latest Blog at Syntagma Media..Good stuff. He’s a good camera person and takes very good pictures….I used to go on walks with him when I was in Holland from Jan to April 2006….Congrats to Arie and hope to see good articles from him..

I’m delighted to announce that Arie Kraai, a Dutch journalist and writer, has taken over on our Digital Camera Latest site. Digicams are becoming an important market these days, making a big dent in the world’s budget for gadgets. In the run-up to Christmas, a click or two will take you to the top retailers of digital cameras and accessories. We’ll even have a special shop onsite to cater for all your needs.

Spam Blogs and Plone

Never knew there is such a thing but here’s how spammers out there are misusing Plone.. Plone is a CMS, the Open Source Content Management System..

There’s an interesting, destructive little exploit being used to spam Performancing.com and doubless many other blogs at the moment. It took a small amount of investigation but was fairly easy to work out, and rather than sit on the info and hope it will go away, I’ll show you how it’s done, so that Plone might work to fix this problem. At least they could alert their users to the risks.

Danny Sullivan Departs SearchEngineWatch.com

Not having Danny Sullivan on SearchEngineWatch.com is like having jelly sandwich without jelly…It won’t be the same. Thanks for all the great SEO news in the past….Hope you find other stuff to enlighten us on..

Danny Sullivan’s SearchEngineWatch.com is nothiing short of an institution among Search geeks — The news that he’s leaving both the site, and the SES conferences is pretty sad.

Jam at Giant Hypermarket Bandar Puteri Puchong

What a lousy way to start the morning. Its National Day in Malaysia. Happy 49th Birthday to Malaysia. And how did I spend the morning ? I wasted 35 minutes queing up to pay for my 2 items (a laundry mat and prunes) at the Express Counter over at Giant Hypermarket, Bandar Puteri Puchong because of some mismanagement. I hope this comes out first page in the Star tomorrow just to give the Giant management a reminder that people don’t like queues…..

The problem why the queue was slow at Giant today is because they are having a promotion on certain items like Pampers and Darlie toothpaste. A lot of people just came to buy those items and somehow the POS system was not updated with the correct prices. They had 1 supervisor going around my 4 express counters trying to change the prices. Now that’s why the queue was longer than that in the Sunway toll !!!!! Crap!

The problem was only resolved when the supervisor rebooted the POS system. Darn. He should have done it earlier. I could see blood oozing out from his sweat as a lot of people were fuming over the long queue. I will NEVER ever goto Giant again on public holidays. I will visit either Tesco or Carrefour…..Man….The management at Giant has better do something about it……Dairy Farm people, are you hearing this ???

Verizon Communications Inc. eliminates supplier surcharge

Don’t you just hate it when your mobile providers charges you for some stupid thing ? WE have other important bills to pay!

Verizon Communications Inc. said Wednesday that it was dropping a “supplier surcharge” on its high-speed Internet service for retail customers. The decision comes less than a week after the Federal Communications Commission mailed a letter to the company asking that it explain the reasoning for the charge.
