Intel has a new Logo out…
CHIP giant Intel Corporation on Tuesday revealed plans of rebranding core products toward consumer electronics from its current microprocessor business. The new branding strategy came with the company’s major reorganization last year, focusing on four market segments including mobile, digital home, enterprise and health. As part of this new thrust, Intel also announced that it will deliver a new platform for the digital home called Intel Viiv in early 2006.
Intel also introduced a redesigned logo that will be integrated immediately by the chip giant’s global offices and into its existing products. The logo now uses block letters replacing the italicized letters with a lower case “e.” The company’s “Intel inside” slogan will also be replaced with a new one: “Leap ahead.” The logo has been used during the company’s 37-year history while the old slogan was adopted in 1991. It is a major change for a company synonymous to PC processors.
