An update to my earlier post about the big buy by MSNBC for ads on 800 blogs via BlogAds
According to the New York Times, MSNBC is spending about a $1 million dollars in advertising on the following: Google keywords, 800 blogs (largest blogad buy in history), and ad takeovers on Slate.com, WashingtonPost.com and Newsweek.com.
According to an email from BlogAds founder Henry Copeland, “This is biggest blogad buy ever… This is more ads than Blogads.com sold in the entirety of 2003.” The only other advertisers to even come close to MSNBC have been Budget Rent A Car who bought blogads last month on 177 blogs, and Audi this past summer with 286.
