iTalkNews.com, part of the Oak News Network, Inc., is a breaking news forum and a forerunner in a new kind of news journalism, where everyone can participate in current events.

We’re a start-up based just outside San Francisco. We are young, innovative thinkers who have backgrounds all across the spectrum: journalism, law, engineering and design. We’re very different in our views as well, but what we all felt was the need for an interactive community where people can read breaking news, discuss it, and post their own articles. Our goal is to foster diversity and offer a wide range of opinions on any topic in the news, while creating a nationwide network of writers and thinkers.

This is a section where you can post your own articles. You can write on any topic as long as it relates to current events/news. Posting your article is simple: Just log-in with your username and password, and submit your story. Unlike the forum, articles will be posted on the main page and available to view for a significant period of time so they may be edited for grammar and inappropriate content.

Queries on the coveted device more than doubled on the 25th after the wrapping paper was ripped to shreds, boosting the iPod into our top 20 search terms. Searches on Apple’s music service, iTunes, were up 178% as well and cracked our top 30. But that’s just a small indication of the stranglehold Apple had over the holidays — iPod-related searches made up a humongous hunk of our top Buzz movers on Chrismukkah.
