Meebo is a really cool Web based Instant Messaging client that I have been using this few days. Its using Ajax ( an open source software ) and its right now in Alpha mode. Its faster than e-messenger.net but its function is only limited to adding and removing your contacts. You can’t download files with it. Another great thing is that the windows stay within the browser space. No more cluttering up your Windows desktop.
Meebo supports AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN and recently added Jabber and Google Talk!
Funny thing about it . I login this morning but then it kicked me out after 10 mins. Anybody got the same problem ?
There’s a new instant messaging client called Meebo, which is completely browser-based (read: no download) which lets you connect to the major 4 IM (AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN) networks right from your web-browser. It’s currently in beta so there are many features available, all you can do is sign on and IM people, but it’s shaping up to be a pretty cool tool. If you need to log on to your IM network from a location which doesn’t allow it, like say a library or at your office, then Meebo will definitely get the job done.
