Baarmy Sheep Ringtones

A clutch of singing sheep from the Lake District are now “flock” stars after their indiscriminate bleatings were dubbed to an energetic remix of the William Blake classic, Jerusalem.
Just as the Crazy Frog craze appealed to the young and urban, The Baarmy Lake District Sheep baa-ing along to “England’s green and pleasant land,” will appeal to those with a love of the countryside and outdoors.

Available free of charge, the ringtone and pop video can be found at Cumbria Tourist Board’s website, www.golakes.co.uk/baarmy sheep/, Eric Robson, chairman of Cumbria Tourist Board chairman and the voice of Radio Four’s Gardener’s Question Time, lives in the Lake District on a farm close to England’s deepest lake, Wastwater, at the foot of England’s highest mountain, Scafell.

He said Blake and the Baa-rmy Lake District Sheep were more than a match for the Crazy Frog.
“Blake could have been thinking of the Lake District when he waxed lyrical of lambs, pleasant pastures, clouded hills and of course, a green and pleasant land.”

“The spectacular views of the Lake District’s high fells and sheep dotted on them are a symbol of this area for visitors the world over.”

“So we’ve made this ring-tone available free on our website www.golakes.co.uk as a bit of fun for those who love the breathtaking beauty of the area. It’s available free so no-one can say we are trying to fleece anybody!”
